What was I thinking? I signed up to work Early Elections this week. So now THIS retired person is gonna miss the race. I'm praying there is a rain delay and I'll get to see Tony or Jr win.

Is anyone watching? Juan Pablo Montoya smashed into the back of one of the jet dryers, and they both EXPLODED! Huge fire on the track!

JJ just lost it in the pack on the first lap. He hit the wall hard and took a couple of other cars with him, but it wasn't really a huge pile-up. Danica's car got crippled in it.
In this latest incident, JPM was trying to catch the pack under caution when they think something broke under his car, he spun out, and the front of his car went under the back of the jet dryer truck. They both exploded. JPM and the truck driver both walked away (not sure if either was injured), but the jet fuel leaked out of the truck and caught fire. They've red-flagged the race.
And if that wasn't strange enough, Dave Blaney is in the lead!
And they may not be able to race anymore after the fire on the track, so by default, Dave Blaney could WIN!!

Giiirrrl, thanks for the run down! I just happened to have it on at the start and changed it. Then I saw your post and switched over.
But I'm back to SMASH.
I just can't watch racing. To me it's kinda like watching paint dry.
My husband took me to ONE race when we went to Daytona. That was enough

Is anyone else remembering the line from Days of Thunder?
