I like this one so much I thought I'd pass it along:
(Always check for color fastness)
I have been experimenting making laundry pre-treat mixtures like Shout, Spray N Wash, etc. They are so expensive if you use them a lot. I make my own windex, bathroom bleach scrub and laundry detergent, too.
Here's a REALLY good recipe for my favorite one. I use it on everything from laundry stains to spot cleaning delicates or dry clean only pieces and even on carpet(got some nasty black grease out easily yesterday):
3-4 tablespoons fine soap shavings(I like Fels Naptha but Ivory is good too...I use a cheese grater)
2 tablespoons baking soda
1/8 cup ammonia
add enough hot water to make a spray bottle size(32 oz)
shake all ingredients together until the soap is dissolved
You can also substitute the ammonia with hydrogen peroxide and add 15-20 drops of an essential oil like lavender, citrus or geranium(real essential oils wont leave the surface oily). If its for use on a fabric where babies, young children or animals come into contact with that you spot treat and cannot wash. I keep a bottle of both under my sink and have them labeled with and without ammonia.

Cool idea
. When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep --not screaming, like the passengers in his car"
It is time to vote every Paulding elected official out of office and get rid of the good ole boy system.
Do your part and vote them out ! !
Better to have a new clown in the office, then to let the current ones continue to rule.

I got one for the Bathroom cleaner! Works like a freakin champ!
12 or 14 oz bottle of regular blue Dawn
1 1/2 - 2 cups of White distilled vinegar
Heat Vinegar in the microwave until boiling (or close) Then mix it with the Dawn in a spray bottle... (you can cut the ingredients if you need to)
Spray it on your tile, tub or sink! Wait a little bit then wipe it off with a cloth.

I really prefer Dawn in making my own cleaners when it calls for liquid dish detergent. I was always a Palmolive fan but the new, blue Overnight Soak Power dawn cannot be beat(and I wash all my dishes by hand). I can see how it would really work in the bathroom on soap scum which is my big peeve with other cleaners-so many of them do not to get rid of it.
