I JUST read a thread about someone's job hiring and having interviews on Saturday. Now I can not find it. Where did it go?

It's this: http://paulding.com/...14#entry3594614

and they've posted at least a dozen times about it, which means they probably have high turnover, it's basically telemarketing calls.

It leads to a company called RCI Points.

I fantasize about my dogs having jobs. I pretend that both of them are window cleaners and their kennel is their first starter home. I think the bigger dog is trying to bump off the smaller dog so he can have the kennel to himself. I know I have a problem, but don't animals have to earn a living too?

Dogs may not be our whole lives, but they make our lives whole.

A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.

The more I see of humans, the more I admire dogs.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

The dog is a gentleman, I hope to go to his heaven, not man's.

Telemarketing.... in other words... sales commissions/hourly pay, how does setting up an appointment get you commission. You're trying to scam people into responding to a job that isn't what you're advertising then.

We set up the appointment if the customer comes we get paid commission. We also have a guaranteed hourly pay. Considering the unemployment rate, I'm trying to help our community by providing jobs to those in need.

Telemarketing for timeshares then. Call what it is.

This company is what gives Telemarketers bad names.

I do sales for a living and companies like this are pathetic.

If you cannot follow the rules on how to post on here then you do not deserve to be on this board.

Now I think they're paying $9 an hour (it was $10 a year ago).

You're also NOT an employee but a subcontractor which means YOU are responsible for your taxes should you actually work long enough to make anything.

Your company cannot follow the rules for posting on this board and you expect us to think that you will treat the customer and employee right?

according to posts made in the past by you or one of your co-workers, the pay was $10 an hour. However, more recently, maybe late November or December it was posted that the job pays $9 an hour. That is NOT the same.

I know for a FACT that the pay was $10 an hour in January 2011.

$9.00 and hour or $10.00 an hour, show me another job where you can make that and sit in a chair calling people on the phone!!!! This whole discussion is ridiculous!!! This is a legitimate job and I haven't seen any rules that you say have been broken! No company name, no phone number or any email address was given by the original poster. Telemarketing is a job, we can't all be independently wealthy and sit and make mean comment on boards like these to other people all day long!!! I say live and let live. If you don't like telemarketers, don't answer the phone. Simple.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but email contact information was given in the original post, and you probably need a business membership to recruit on the site.

this was posted in November 2005 as policy and has NOT been changed:

Paulding.com is now restricting the FREE STANDALONE HELP WANTED ADS to premium paid members.

The persons posting for this company are NOT premium members nor are they posting as commerce members, who ARE free to post help wanted ads. They have posted e-mail addresses and direct phone numbers numerous times in the past.

bdye, I take it you're another "employee".

Thank you Star and Dru's Nana.

My peeve is NOT with the PERSON posting ( I do not know them). But rather it is with the fact that the rules are constantly being broken.
My FEELING is that if you cannot follow a simple rule on here and do the right thing, can you be trusted to treat the employee or customer the right way.
IF you choose to advertise the correct way then I wish your company all the best of luck. Selling is hard and you deserve to succeed. Just simply follow the rules.

That is all.

Tellamarkiting is a job and to brake it down for you every time you turn the tv on someone is putting there product in a famous actors hand asking you to buy it, that is marketing. You see a logo on a billboard that is marketing, I can go on and on so what is the difference if some on picks up the phone to do it? It is not a easy job and the job that was on here is not selling its appoiment setting so why bash somthing you know nothing about. All that dose is make you look ignorant and it would be nice if things were handeld in a more professional manner on here.

Darling, I have been telemarketing for over 20 years.
I know what I am talking about
. I sold timeshares for many years along with every other product on the market. If you take a minute to read you will NOWHERE find that my peeve is against telemarketers.

It IS selling. It is setting appointments so you can go listen to a high pressure salesperson. There is no "getting updates" to their timeshare holders. It IS setting appointments so more timeshares can be sold.

You might want to read this: http://the-appoinmen...nt-setting.html
Appointment Setting is a process of setting business appointments between sales representative and prospects through phone or face-to-face appointments. Ummmm, "prospects" don't already own the timeshare.

Lol well I do know one sales or not sales it's a job and some people would be thankful to have that, I know for a fact that there is a lot of nit picking on here and you just proved my point :/ but if there is any other way I can help you with a argument please let me know because it seem there are a few go to people on here lol.

Jessica......please know that the argument is NOT against telemarketing.
It is about following the rules.

The board states that you cannot advertise a job here without paying to do so....that is what the issue is. I am glad that you have a job that you like and wish you great success, truly.
I just think that those advertising the jobs should pay for the advertising.

Oh honey, the things I could tell you about that job. ;) I DO know it is sales. Trust me when I say I know because I do know. I know EXACTLY what the job involves.

Yes, I'm sure there are lots of people who are thankful to have that job. I can't tell you how many times I have seen it posted here, so either they are really expanding (which means they would have to move from that tiny three or four desk office where you needed to go outside to turn around) OR they have massive turnover.

BTW, does the owner of the business still go to Vegas every couple of weeks? ;)

Yes, that is what the rules say and I agree with you--that is the issue here.

Seems as though someone got her friends to come on here defending the company, too. :nea:

We set up the appointment if the customer comes we get paid commission. We also have a guaranteed hourly pay. Considering the unemployment rate, I'm trying to help our community by providing jobs to those in need.

I'm the one that is helping the community by providing a place where these messages can be exchanged.

I do charge legitimate businesses for this service.

You've been the well many times and keep coming because presumably it works.

And I keep giving, you keep taking and I'm all done. You pay to play or go away.

I actually like the alliteration so let me say it again.

pay to play or go away

I mean we don't have any idea what company you represent. You've not paid us for any kind of membership. Your only communication is about your business - if it is one - and it is your act of stealing our service which tells me nothing good about how it is to work for you.

pay to play or go away

People here have pegged you guys as spammers and regardless of the legitimacy or illegitimacy of the job offered, what you're presenting here is unsolicited commercial messages without paying for the privilege. And this has been going on for at least five or six months or longer.

pay to play or go away

Can I make it any clearer? Legitimate businesses don't steal the service or seek to game the system. Our rule is for the secretary in the small business who might, in one of 500 posts, mention that the company they work for has an opening once or twice, maybe in the year. We'll overlook that and consider it our donation to the community but the folks who have a high-turn job that eats people up and spits them out and is in a field that is in our mind questionable and they are here month after month seeking raw meat and they expect us to be complicit in their recruitment activities not even knowing who they are besides they are spammers? ...

pay to play or go away

I mean you'd have us think that you're doing this because this is such a wonderful place to work? I think the knowledge base of those others posting here belies that.

pay to play or go away

Are you getting recruiting bonuses for bringing new people into work? Well maybe you need to pay.

pay to play or go away

Stop the recruitment ads for the phantom telemarketing company that is too cheap to pay $12.50 a month to use the service to legitimately recruit needed employees using our service.

pay to play or go away

Indeed, if they're that damn cheap they are pathetic in my book.

I posted in the help wanted section I thought that was OK. You talk about me being pathetic everything you just said is pathetic. Its sad when you have to post stuff like this to make yourself feel better. You could have been professional and PM me instead but I see how you run your business. Lead by example.
