They do not come out any earlier than Thanksgiving Day but, it sure would be nice if they did. Wally world is starting "some" sales items at 10 on Thanksgiving night, some at 12 and some at 5am, form what I've heard. Which this means we will need to eat fairly early, get back home and take a nap to get there about 6pm. We will not be eating at our house this year. We will be joining some of my family that I haven't seen in years. Therefore, I don't have to spend two days cooking, just one. :yahoo: I'm cooking the dressing, potato salad, a desert and that's about it!!  There will be enough people there to clean up quickly and we can get the show on the road. :yahoo:

DD has been known to follow the paper guy around at midnight to make sure she gets a paper EARLY on Thanksgiving morning.

There are several websites that have the BF deals listed for Wal-Mart, Best Buys, Big Lots, ACE, Macy's, etc, etc, etc. I have looked at some of them but haven't seen anything that is earth shattering. But then again I'm not doing much shopping/buying this year.

The cashier at Target told us last night that they were opening at midnight, Thanksgiving night. I have no idea what is in the ad though.

I think that is just wrong. I mean, family sits down for dinner than instead of football they have to go to work? That's just sad.

I agree. I saw an interview with a guy who works in retail and he said his family has had to move their Thanksgiving "Dinner" to be earlier because he has to take a nap after the meal to go to work before midnight. :(

I agree with you. Is it greed, commercialism or what? I'm thankful that I don't have to work in retail.

Thanks for the responses. I agree with starting sales that night ... it seems like a lot for the employees. I don't usually go out on BF but I wanted to check the deals this year... although I wouldn't be going out until morning. I was thinking the papers with the ads would be out well before that day. :( It's easier for me to look at the actual ad rather than the website.

Most of the ads are up on bfads.net Walmart will open at 10pm on Thanksgiving, a few others at midnight. Not alot that I am going after this year, but I do not agree with opening the stores on Thanksgiving, that takes away from Black Friday, IMO. Walmart , Big lots, and a couple of other circulars will be in your mailbox at the beginning of the week. The rest will be out~as stated~on Thanksgiving morning. Happy Shopping!
