TV quit working a few months ago--thought I'd try to give it away here before recycling.

North Paulding area

Sometimes it comes on and sometimes it does not:

Looks like recycle center doesn't take t.v.s -- trying one more time to give away before throwing away.

They (flatscreens) only last a few years. They tend to be expensive to repair and recycling places don't take 'em... My first HD flatscreen is sitting in a closet. It quit working after 4 years, and that's when the suckers wre still over $1000 in the stores. Glad they came down in price but the quaility of the things still suck...

Thanks to BACONFMLY03 I checked out the tv and it does work. I think it was plugged into a power strip that was turn off and my 18-year-old grown man son couldn't or was too lazy to figure that out! Thanks BACONFMLY03!

I know. We wouldn't have been out anything because someone gave it to him--but I was planning to buy him a new one for Christmas--not one that big though.

My kid was not as lazy as I thought. Sometimes it comes on and sometimes it doesn't.

Really need to get rid of this time--have bought a replacement.

Baconfamily03--I sent a PM if you're still interested--but I don't think you got it.

Thanks

Funny, they can be fixed for $200-$400 by Hart TV at Nebo/92. They'll come out and evaluate and repair. They charge for the visit, but that's applied to the repair if they do it. It all depends on what's it's worth to you... Good Luck (although you've already bought a replacement probably for the same price..).

Yes--we bought a replacement and are taking this one to the dump tomorrow--I hate to do it--but couldn't give it away.
