According to the actual listing, it's bank-owned, so I'd bet it is.

Looks like a great place if you'd be willing/able to get enough financing to fix it up.

Wow. A 5/4 for less than $40,000. I have to find somebody to buy that for me. My payment would be less than what I am paying for rent.

We checked that out awhile back but Tallapoosa is a little too far out.

I love the Tallapoosa house. So cute! Too bad i'm stuck where I am. Thanks a lot economy. :angry2:

To answer the question, yes the price for 215 Meadow Street is correct. It is bank owned. A contractor's visual estimate was approximately $50k in improvements are needed. However, if you purchased the house for the current price and put in $50k cash or did a renovation loan on it, you would still have that house on approximately 1/2 acre for less than a $100k.

I think it's a great deal for the savvy investor.
