If you have a student at Hiram that wanted to take spanish three but can't - could you please PM me? I need to know to know why they can't take it. I'm going to go in tomorrow and get some answers on this. I'm not usually this parent - but if my student doesn't take spanish three this year - he can't continue on to take AP spanish his senior year. And, since he wants to minor in spanish in college - that's important.

I feel your pain my daughter couldn't get spanish 3 to fit in her 10th grade yr. so we decided why bother since she hasn't had spanish for a year. Her schedule is very very messed up this yr as a Jr. at North. She dosen't even have a class one class period and then she has lit 3rd period one semester and 6th period another. She also has 2 electives that she can only take one semester of 1/2 credit I guess cause it does't fit the next semester. My other child went to East 4 yrs and took all honors and AP classes and never had a class not make his schedule.

Not possible to take it at a college - no way I could make it happen at another high school. And, doesn't shock me that there's only one - I think we only have one teaching it as well.

We'll see what happens. I realize that scheduling is a nightmare task and no one wants to do it. But, for the life of me, I can't figure out why they scheduled the 10th grade honors classes all as year long classes and spanish III as a block class.

We'll see what I can accomplish today.

They schedule Accelerated math classes on block at North Paulding which screws up everyones schedule and you really need math year long.

Accelerated math is a block class that is taught all year as well.

We solved our problem today. Came up with a great solution that I think will be really really good for him in the long run. Hurray!!
