There are plenty of opportunities.
I'd start by arranging a meeting with the county math coordinator (if I was not satisfied with the conversation that came from talking to the principal).....and then go from there.

It's unfortunate that a percentage of our youth gets lost on quick draw experiments. It might have sounded good in theory but doesn't seem to be panning out.

I don't think anyone ON the board would be qualified to answer those questions, since they don't deal directly in curriculum and teaching methodologies.
I'm thinking Yvette Hill will be able to direct you to the correct person. She's over curriculum for the county.
(for some reason, the Math Workshop lady's name isn't coming to me. I'll try to think of it so that you can talk to her directly.)

Is she still contracted with the county? I thought they didn't continue the contract with her this year. Maybe I heard wrong.

uhhh....I usually don't hear about those things until I need to contact that person and they aren't there anymore
You may be right.
However, don't contracts go until the end of June for full yeared people? I could be wrong. It has happened more than once

Now I must begin helping my second (and last) child get through college with the "education" he received in PCS.

Because there are Superintendents in other counties who have had to be fired recently. The BOE can not micro manage the day to day operation of the Schools but they can put the people in place who can do that. That includes firing them when they do not do the job well or when they do something detrimental to the system. Some folks do not know that the BOE does not set curriculum or supervise the staff.

Thank you. I know of the county you are speaking.
I went to the Board meeting last night.
I really didn't pay attention to everything because I was there for three things. Wrestling tournament approval, bullying, smoking. But, I have to admit when they started to talk about the smoking policy, I went outside to smoke and had to send off a text.

In addition to the things that Lucky has already listed I believe they set some requirements for proof of district residency. This one always makes me laugh because we must prove that our student lives in the district but they can't ask if the student is legally in the state. They also passed a resolution asking GA leaders to create State House and Senate districts that lie wholly or mostly within the boundaries of Paulding County when they redistrict.

Thank you Sutler. Lucky 64 has been attending regularly and is accurate and detailed in her posts, so I have been addressing the more specific questions. Please feel free to email me or call on my cell anytime and if you do not get a response in 24-48 hours, then I either did not see it or you called my "home" number. So always resend. That rarely happens but I do try to respond quickly.
Those who are around me much know that the phone is never off and unless I am out of the country, I feel compelled to answer it. Even on vacation.....which sometimes gets me dirty looks from the kids and others.
I committed to be here for the folks who gave me an opportunity to serve. I will continue to do so as long as the voters see fit to have me do so
I promise to do the best I can as long as I am able
