In accordance with O.C.G.A. 48-5-264.1, please be advised that the Paulding County Appraisal Staff may be visiting your property to review your parcel information concerning an appeal filed, return filed, construction of new improvement or addition, review of parcel, and/or conservation use application. The field appraiser from our office will have photo identification and will be driving a marked county vehicle. If you have any further questions, please call our office at (770) 443-7606.

Paulding County, the 87th county created in the state, was formed from part of Cherokee County. It was named after John Paulding, a soldier in the Revolutionary War who helped capture Major Andre, an accomplice in Benedict Arnold's plot to overthrow the nation.

The county courthouse, built in 1892, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Another historic site is Pickett's Mill, a very well preserved Civil War battlefield. In the Atlanta Campaign, Sherman's forces clashed with Confederates here prior to heading to Kennesaw.

The Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills are mailed the first week of September and are due November 15. Mobile Home Bills are mailed the last week of January and are due May 1.

A Convenience Fee is applied to all transactions.
This is a processing fee and does not come back to Paulding County.

A convenience fee of 2.5% will be applied to credit card transactions.
A convenience fee of $1.50 will be applied to E-check transactions.
