Pack family
Well I hope this email reaches everyone in good health. Football season is just around the corner believe it or not. We will have our first JR Wolfpack parent meeting for all those interested in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade football in 2011 at the NPHS Auditorium on March 8 at 7:00pm.There are some really exciting things happening this year and best of all we have the time to prepare and plan for this season. First of all, we and all the other Paulding County schools have been accepted into the GMSAA which is a large league of feeder programs throughout the Metro Atlanta area, you can view their website at www.gmsaa.com. Joining this league brings some great opportunities for advancement of the football program at North Paulding High School. First of all we will have the opportunity to compete against teams that also are in our region such as Kell and Pope for a state title just like the High Scools this year. Another big announcement is that we will be fielding teams in 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels this year!
We will also have spring practice and two spring Jamborees which will be very similar to what the high schools get to do. You can't get THAT in rec ball! Just as a note, I do plan on working around baseball schedules for those that play. We just need to talk on an individual basis with each family. Spring practice will begin on May 2nd and will end with our last Jamboree game at McEachern on May 21st. We are having our first registration this Saturday March 5th from 10am to 2pm at the North Paulding fieldhouse. There will be a discount for those registering early. The early registration fee will be $225.00. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, insurance card and any physical that was preformed after 5-21-10 as to the fact it should be good for a year. I will have the book from last year with alot of your paperwork but bring it just in case. The high school will be holding Physicals on April 28 from 4:00-6:30 at NPHS. Cost is only $10 and the physical will be good for the entire 2011-2012 school year. I encourage everyone to get their child's physicals done at this time it is the easiest and most cost effective way to handle it.
Another exciting thing this program offers will be the ability to field a JV and Varsity team at each grade level if we so choose. What this means is that just like in the High school level a player will have up to 6 quarters of eligible game time each week. The great thing about this is it will allow for more players to see the field in game situations and help to develop players to play at the next level. I am very excited about this prospect and this should overcome the hardest issue about large team sizes. Just as last year we will be running the high school system but the coaches will have a much better head start on learning the system and Coach Webb’s practice routine.
Our Goal this year is to have 12-15 coaches which will hopefully break down to 4 or 5 coaches per team. We are currently accepting coaches’ applications and anyone interested is highly encouraged to fill one out. The coaches apps will be on the www.northpauldingfootball.com website for download soon. Also this year we will have a class rep/team parent for each grade level. This persons responsibilities will include helping get information out to the parents on a weekly basis also helping with the creation and organization of the team book with all the required paperwork. Also this person will help with organizing the volunteers from their prospective parents and driving the fundraisers at their grade level. I need 3 highly energetic and organized individuals to help with this so please if you are interested call me at 610-721-8074 or email me at coachmikeprater@yahoo.com.
I look forward to a great 2011 season and maybe we can bring another championship home to the Wolfpack. Dont hesitate to call me with any questions and please pass this along to anyone you know who has a child that would be interested in playing for the Pack!
GO PACK
thanks
Mike Prater

Hi I am very new to this, so my apologies if I am asking questions already answered. My son is going into the 6th grade at McClure Middle next fall and is highly interested in playing for the Jr. Wolfpack. Unfortunately, I haven't found much info to get started. Any input/info regarding expectations and registration would be greatly appreciated.
