Dear Pope Football Community,
I wanted to make you aware of a special event planned for this Friday night’s homecoming game against North Paulding.
Just prior to the start of the football season, a North Paulding football player Zach Williamson was killed in a car accident. The North Paulding community is still mourning the loss of this special young man.
The PTC board has decided to donate the proceeds from this Friday nights 50/50 raffle to Zach’s memorial fund as a way of showing our support to his family, the North Paulding community and our new league rival. There will be volunteers from the PTC and Junior Program selling raffle tickets through the first half of the game and we plan to do a check presentation at the end of the halftime program or at the end of the 3rd quarter.
We hope to have Zach’s family there for the check presentation along with Rick Beaulieu and the North Paulding Principal.
This will be an opportunity for us to demonstrate the heart and spirit of the Pope Community, so buy lots of tickets!!!

And I am proud of the way the Paulding community has come together .
I do not know Zack's parents , I cannot imagine their sorrow .
May they find peace in knowing this has brought the community together .
It's hard to know what to say
