The price for each week is $175 but there is a discount if there is more than one child in the family attending. Campers will ride twice each day. Morning sessions are instruction in horsemanship/natural riding techniques. Afternoon sessions are games on horseback (noodle tag, musical stalls, soccer, rescue races, etc...). There is a new, horse related craft each day and all campers will make a scrapbook of their camp experience. The children will play kick ball, whiffle ball and dodge ball. They will go on a nature hike and learn about how some plants can effect horses if they are ingested. The campers will form a mounted posse and follow clues to track down our escaped criminal (usually one of the barn cats) and return him to his jail cell. The children should bring a sack lunch each day. Drinks (water & juice)and two snacks (grapes, apples, bananas, pretzels, Goldfish or yogurt) are furnished. It is a week of fun and fellowship that I look forward to every year.

The camp is $75 for the week. There is a 6 child limit for this camp (two children per instructor). The campers will learn to lead the horses, do some grooming and learn basic riding skills. They will also have an age appropriate craft each day and make a scrapbook. We will take one short hike during the week to look at the birds, squirrels and rabbits. They will also play kick ball and cowboys and outlaws using water guns. Juice, bottled water and a snack will be provided every day. Our clubroom has dozens of books, videos, puzzles and games, if we have a stormy day.

That is awesome. We live right close by and I have been looking for a place for my daughter to really learn about horses and ride. SHe loves them and has taken lessons once or twice but we have not been able to afford much lately. Now that we are a little better financially and my goal is to buy her a horse for her someday this sounds great. I think I will make it a surprise and send her both weeks.

Thanks! I will be in touch!!

I hope I and fit one of the weeks into our kids' schedule....not to mention mine. It would be so great for them to learn about horsemanship and caring for animals.

I think it's great to give kids an opportunity to learn about animals and nature. I'm so glad to hear you're doing this camp here in Paulding!

I have group lessons from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. You're welcome to come by after 3:30 or if you would like to see a lesson in progress you could come by at around 2:30 or 3:00 and we could talk after the lesson.

If an adult would like to take lessons, is it the same price as the kids that you have listed on your website?

I love the t-shirts that I got from you. My favorite is the one of Sky, my Quarter Horse mare, wearing a dalmation costume at the PC Humane Society fund raiser that we did a few years ago. She was really upset when she didn't win the largest dog contest.;)

Just send a PM with your God-daughter's name and she can bring payment on the first day of camp. Our June camp was a lot of fun. I'll try to post some pictures later today.
