I will start hocking us around to the local clubs in town tonight, I hope. It may be the first of Jan. before we get any bookings, but MAN!!! It's gonna be GREAT. Just a 4 piece, with the "best of the best" pickers I know of in these parts. It will consist of me on piano, my drummer from Simply Southern (AWESOME drummer), Jimmy Dean's former guitar player and bass player. Awesome vocals, awesome players, and all Southern Rock!!! I'll keep you posted. Here's a pic of our business cards...
I'll keep you updated when we get some bookings, too!
We came up with the name pretty quickly, as we all are "hired guns" in the music world, that is to say, we often fill in with other bands when they need someone. All of them are older, very seasoned players. I'm SURE you will like it a lot! I can't wait to hit the circuit~~
Oh BTW....we had to come up with this name and design rather quickly, so if you want to comment on the cards, feel welcome. I'm always open to other people's ideas.

How about the G Jiles band.
Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!
I just got back from Spotlight, Mia's and Birdies.....looks like we're in! Just need to wait until next year after they get opened up a little. Expect BIG things, folks! These guys are among the best players I know, and you'll know that as soon as you hear them!
Yes, there IS still Simply Southern, but there are not that many gigs lined up. So, there are plenty of open weekends for us to play. We will coexist.
BTW, I have us a MySpace page set up, so you folks feel free to drop in, and be our friends!! The two first songs are songs we just slapped together in about an hour over at my drummers house. We didn't have a bass player at the time, so I played bass guitar on Homesick, and Bob played bass on Sweet Home Alabama. The other two songs are me and my drummer.
You'll have to copy and paste this in, because I can't seem to get the link insert to work...????

Thanks for the well wishing, and I hope to see some of you next year when the gigs come in.
Thanks man....I've done hundreds of link, but for some reason it would not work today....dunno why!!! Arrgggg!!!
Thanks again~~~ You da man!
I played ONE set (the first one) with the RoadHogs at Spotlight tonight, then high-tailed it to Austell for the Rock 4 Tots gig at Fat Cats. LONG NIGHT!!!
