WEIRD! My broom standing in the middle of the floor! Rate Topic: -----

Yep...you read that right. My sister called me and told me that her MIL called her and told her about this weird thing that happened to her... She even sent her a picture. So...she calls me and asked me if my broom would do it... I said.. You're crazy. She told me to try it. So, I did........and here is my picture.
This broom is standing in front of my door - NOTHING holding it...There aren't any magnets.....no strings.... NOTHING..
I promise on my mom's grave.....

This is a regular O Cedar broom.

I about FREAKED when it actually did. I thought my sister and the DBF are in cahoots with each other and playing jokes on me!!

It's still standing there. I'm going to leave it to see how long it stands there!

Mine stands up, too. I don't know what kind it is--it's black and yellow. I don't think its an O'Cedar.

I wonder what made someone try this to begin with.

I just tried and I must have a stupid broom too. It just wants to fall over. Oh, well.
Actually, the bristles on mine are not stiff anymore and the metal handle is slightly bent, so there's no way to properly balance it. I might go out and buy a new broom tomorrow just so I can do this and freak out my kids.
So you're not from the South, that's okay, you got here as fast as you could.

I just went and googled this and its actually been heard of before. Some think its paranormal some thought other things. I dunno, I will check mine out tomorrow. Sounds interesting, maybe I can freak my hubby out if it works!!

I don't know which is funnier....the pic of your broom standing or the picture in my mind of Pcommers rushing to their broom closet, grabbing their broom and it falling over repeatedly laugh.gif !

My DW does this, especially when the weather starts to get cold. It warms it up for her fly to work. biggrin.gif

Mine was still standing when I got up this morning. I moved it to make coffee and stood it right back up. I saw a story online in Alabama where their broom stood up. They called paranormal and had big news stories. Ha ha...they're not special now....
