The guys have been off since the McEachern game. That was a tough game against a really good and powerful team. i know my older boy was really beat up (much more than normal). He never complains but looking at his arms, hands, shins and back was hard for Mom. Marrietta is a good team too. we shut them out, but still looked off. I think the McEachern game took alot outta the guys. KEEP THE FAITH : the players and parents can trust these coaches to do what is best 4 our team. Coach Reid, Coach Glen, Coach Ham, Coach Dave, Coach Steady, Coach Bragg and the others will squeeze all they can outta these players and put them where they will be the most effective. The Coaches are not babying anybody, they are making men outta these boys. That is the goal, winning is a bonus. football is a game but the lessons these coaches are teaching about team are priceless. i a firm believer in the sooner a young man finds out that hard work and TEAM thinkin (versus me me me) will get u a spot on the Raiders. Parents do NOT see what happens in practice and who goes half speed and has attitude (ME ME ME) Some times we only see the awesome things about our kids, its a parents job to think your child hung the moon, but the coaches see the real deal and make the discision based on that. Coach Reid has brought alot of attention to our football program and because of that 11 guys got scholorships last year... That is unheard of in Paulding County. The program is something we can be very proud of. Wanting him to leave is simply more ME ME ME. He IS good 4 our school and 4 our COUNTY. whew im exhausted.

I have always had Faith in our Raiders, even when they where not winning any games. they have just hit a slump, but they will be ok..

I agree with LR. My kids were there when they never won a game and had the radio station there for the worst team and all that. They will be ok.

I also had one on that team that went 0 for 26. we won one game when my oldest son went to East. It is way more fun now. huh? I was behind the coach then too. AND Im behind the coach now. And i will be behind the next one too. Its called respect.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I have a freshman and sophomore -- both playing football. They both came home all summer long exhausted. They both come home now exhausted, but when Friday night rolls around -- and they are getting geared up for that game, their exhaustion dissipates and they are ready. They are pumped up -- ready to knock someone's head off. biggrin.gif

That being said -- they both have learned several valuable lessons -- how to maintain their grades and still make practice, workouts and games -- that their responsibilities don't get pushed aside just because you play a sport (chores, homework, etc. -- and mine get lots of chores. wink.gif ) -- no special treatment and hard work always pays off --

I know personally speaking -- my two busted their butts since May and they are now seeing that it pays!

I will be cheering at every game -- winning season or not -- for every successful play, hard hit (and we always have at least one hit that you can hear in the bleachers and that makes you jump to your feet biggrin.gif ), every interception and every touchdown like we just won the game!

KEEP YOUR CHIN UP RAIDERS! WE ALL KNOW WHAT KIND OF TEAM YOU ARE -- AND YOU ALL KNOW IT TOO!!!

GET THAT CANON READY! FRIDAY NIGHT IS COMING! THE BONE YARD IS READY BABY!!!!!

I love my #23 and #24 Raiders!!!

If I'm thinking of the right kid -- not totally sure of his number -- isn't he going to MTSU -- on a full ride?? Yes, I agree -- he's one of the nicest kids.

I tell ya, most of our team is that way. I asked my soph. if he was having any "problems" with the seniors -- he looked at me like I was crazy and said, no -- none. They are all really cool. ..... Okay, excuse me -- I just remember the seniors picking on the underclassmen when we were in school! Glad to see that wasn't the case with him. laugh.gif

And his statement was evident in the game Friday night!!!!

I love my #23 and #24 Raiders!!!

we have a big game Friday vs. N. Cobb. Coaches r trying to pull these guys up, trying different stuff to motivate them. we need a big crowd of loud cowbelling noise makin Raider fans to come give these guys a boost. come on out to the Bone Yard and enjoy a good game and the beautiful ladies homecoming court. It should be a blast. cu there yahoo.gif clapping.gif good.gif

I for one will never lose faith in my boys. They work hard every minute of every day for this for months. I know my boy comes home exhausted most days but still goes at it full force everyday. Everyone of those boys hold a special place in my heart and we are behind them 100%.

We need everyone who can to be there Friday night ready to scream and make some noise for the boys. The cheering really makes a difference to them, the fans are the 12th man on that field and the boys can feel it when we are behind them.

GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there someone I can talk to in the Raider's booster club about making some promotional items or something? I have all of this black and silver ACM that my company makes stuff from, and their logo would look great in it. I've always wanted to, but I've never known who to talk to before. Here is a sample picture (one that I did for UGA):
