Berry College will host a lecture about Church/State Separation on Oct 23, 4PM, as part of Berry’s 2008 Oxbridge Lecture Series.

John Witte, Jr, of Emory will be the speaking on, “Separation of Church and State in American History and Today: Facts, Fictions and Future Challenges,” will be presented at 4 p.m. in the Ford Living Room, located in the Ford complex. The lecture will focus on the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Admission is free and open to the public. Cultural events credit will be available for students in attendance.

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Witte is the Jonas Robitscher professor of law at Emory University’s School of Law. An expert on First Amendment law, he is the author of Religion and the American Constitution Experiment.

Just a little play for the lecture. Ought to drive up & have a lesson or two.
