you must play atleast two years of varsity football before you can compete for a state championship so coach webb is doing the right thing

I know what the rule is. I just feel sorry for all those kids that Webb has mis lead into thinking that! Insted of playing one more year of jv ball and then playing the teams he is facing this year. Sounds like to me he is tring to satisfy some daddy's! So their sons can be hero's in their own mind! yahoo.gif bomb.gif JMHO GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE WAY!

I don't think you know anything. High School schedules in Ga. are done in 2 year cycles. This is year 1 of that cycle, while it is true that most of these kids would be playing JV ball this year at any other school, next year they would need to play varsity and the reality is they would have a hard time filling up a schedule when they have Juniors who are ready. Playing a JV schedule the next 2 years would not get this team ready for varsity competition in the year 2010. This class of sophmores only has 1 chance to make playoffs and these next 2 seasons is about getting them ready for that 1 chance. As a matter of fact, what we are doing was mandated by the county. It has nothing to do with Coach Webb satisfying some daddy's. So once again you come over here showing your ignorance and start spewing off at your mouth about something you know nothing of.

Don't feel sorry for these kids. We don't want your sympathy or your pity. Theses kids aren't stupid, they know the odds are against them but yet they are excited and look forward to each game. But these kids deserve more from the community, they deserve to have a decent practice field, they deserve to have a field that they can call home. Right now, they don't have any facilities, but these players and coaches make due with the hand they've been dealt and we look forward to the day when we're playing with an even hand.

Why do you come on this North Paulding forum and offer nothing but negatives about our coaching staff when it is obvious you know nothing about what is going on with the program over here? If East is such a powerhouse why don't you go over to the www.gavsv.com board and display your ignorance with some of the posters their in their AAAAA forum. Afraid? But you continue to come over here to display your ignorance. So before you come on here spewing your dribble, why don't you find out some facts before you post.

Sorry, I never ment to offend anyone, But you are wrong the county boc. did not mandate that north play a varsity secd. this year. Good luck from now on to all the players. Its not their fault they have been put in this position. They are doing the best they can with what they have. We know all about that! If all the parents are satisfied with Webb and his deceisions then fine. I will not bring this up again. Good luck to the wolfpack I wish yall much success from now on! smile.gif

Great post, thank you! It is hard to watch games like the one Friday night, but the boys are doing a great job of staying focused and not getting emotionally beat up, they are teaching us a thing or two about persaverance. When they ran out after halftime, down by 30, but holding their helmets high over their heads, it brought tears of pride to my eyes. But they don't need our tears, they need 100% of our support. GO WOLFPACK!
