South Paulding broke the streak of 28 undefeated games for the Tigers! I'm really sad that HJ lost, but my sons BFF plays for SP biggrin.gif Good job to all the players!

I thought it was a great day for SPMS. I could not believe how many fans were there for SPMS. As an earlier poster posted everyone one was great. The cheerleaders were fab. My mother said that the cheerleaders loved just as good if not better than the college cheerleaders. The band sounded GREAT, but they always do. The band director does a great job. I just wished they could play at more games. I have to say that many forget the managers on the field. They do a wonderfu job of taking care of the water and switching out the balls. Even the coaches seemed to keep good control of the game and the players. Then last but not least the boys on the football field. I showed up after the 7th grade boys started to play. They looked totally in control of their game. I am sure they will be a team to beat this year and prob. even next year as well. Then I have to say what about those 8th grade boys. They did an outstanding job. I know they have a lot of guys on the team and it is hard to play everyone, but I was glad to see the boys that did not play seemed to be glad to be out there and were cheering the others on. I can not wait until next week. I think this will be a great year for both teams. Good Luck Boys and Coaches for next week's game against Dobbins.

It was a great day od football. The Band was fantastic and the cheerleaders were great. The level of football played by both the seventh and eighth grade teams was inspiring. Kudos to both SPMS and HJMS! I think we who were able to attend the game were rewarded with some extrodanary football from both sides of the field. The coaches should be proud of both teams. Great Job!!!

Congrats to SPMS and the coaching staff for their success in the season opener. They played two great games! I was very impressed with the turnout that SPMS had, there weren't many fans there to support HJMS. SPMS had AT LEAST double the fans that HJMS had. As an HJMS fan, I must say I was very disappointed in the turnout. They haven't lost a game in 20 something games...shouldn't there be a lil more support to root them on.

Congrats to the SPMS players, coaching staff, band, cheerleaders, and fans....you were clearly the better school this weekend. I am sure we will see you again before the season ends!

I guess it's better to lose the first one of the year, than to lose the last one of the year! I am certain that HJMS coaching staff and players will come back focused and on point next week and for the remainder of the season!

Congrats again to Coach Powell and all of SPMS!
