My daughter has fell in love with Mrs. George at Hiram Elementary in 2nd and the one in kindergarten, Ms. Bishop, because she hasn't had another teacher (Ms. Bishop rocks though) even without any other teachers. As does Mrs. Sotomayor, her parapro. We loved them all.

My nephew had Mrs. George this year I believe. One of them had her and loved her!

My children's favorite teachers (and mine).

With 4 children, it is extremely hard to pick just a few. I will give it a try though.

5th grade (Shelton, then Russom) Mrs Mincey/Dixon. I believe she was a 1st year techer with my now 18 year old, then my daughter had her year before last. She is an awesome teacher anda great peron! We have been extremely blessed to have had her guide 2 of our children.

8th (Moses MS) Mr Tibbitts. We were so sad to find out he's retiring. I have 2 more children to go through 8th and was hoping at least one them would have him. Heis a very special man and we will miss him.

Administrators: I have had the pleasure of dealing with some awesome men and women through the years. Stan Ingram is,without a doubt, one of the most fair and honest people I have EVER come across. But the one whom I have just absolutely loved and still makes me smile when I see him is Cliff Cole. I was so pleased he was part of our Graduation ceremony yesterday. He helped see my son off to middle school, as his elementary principle, then was there to see him off into higher education. It just felt right.

I really COULD go on and on about SO many teachers , admin, and staff that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the last 13 years. many of them very near and dear to my heart.

My 5th grade teacher Mrs. Johnson (Northside Elem.) She really helped me figure out who I was and which direction I wanted to go in life.

Well, hey there! I bump into Vickie Lindsey from time to time in WalMart (Dallas Hwy) and I will tell her she was mentioned here. She will be tickled! She's a VERY proud Navy mom now and still the same.

I'm with TBAR there. I loved Mr. Henry! And Ms. Scott! They were (are) great teachers. ETA: I was never in Ms. Cofer's class, so I couldn't choose her, but my husband sure would!

For my kids, I would have to pick Ms. Hanna (I don't know if she is still in the area or not) from Shelton for my son. She made a world of difference to him. And for my daughter, Ms. Caylor at Shelton, and Ms. Pate (her Venture teacher). She has seen Ms. Caylor recently, but she was trying to visit Ms. Pate Friday, but missed her.

My very favorite (current) teacher is Mrs. Adair at Nebo...she is loving, patient, keys all lessons to meet the standards, and is so dedicated to each student and his/her family. (psst, I'm also her proud mom).
My favorite teacher ( in a land far, far away) was Charles Sprayberry, Austell Elementary...went on to be principal at Still Elem...taught me to "teach the child, not the book".

Good point. High school English teachers should probably take this as a good sign .

I can't remember her name(sadly) -sophomore honors lit at SCHS- but she told me I was the BS queen of all her 20 years of teaching... She was a favorite...

But then I moved to PCHS and absolutely adored my anatomy teacher, Tommy Hagler. He was awesome... Inspired me to stay determined and focused for my Biology degree, even told me to get in touch with him if I got overwhelmed. But, when I changed my mind about Biology/ pre-med, he was still one of the people who inspired me to be a teacher... rolleyes.gif

I worked with Wanda Pate for several years, and she was amazing with those Venture kids. I can see how your daughter would have loved her.

Fav teacher... oh my goodness, it has been so long. I don't know that I actually remember a fav. I know that I loved Coach Camp, but what teanage girl didn't... he was a hottie!!! The one who infulenced me most was probaby my business teacher. Awful, but her name isn't coming to me right now. I thought about her the day I moved out on my own and was "self supporting" becuase she told me I'd never do it. Showed her, ha! Ms. Sheffield, just came to me. I graduated from Sprayberry.... a very long time ago.

I didn't go to school around here... My favorite teacher was my 5th grade Ms Arbuckle. She was awesome. I had moved schools and missed some items. During one recess a day for the first few weeks, she helped me catch up to the rest of the kids. She was always there if kids needed extra help. She made me want to learn. I've tried to look her up a number of times to thank her and tell her what an impact she had on me, but have not been able to track her down.
Another that had an impact on me was Ms Dixon, my 10th grade English teacher. Since her class, I have had a love of reading.

Thank you to all the great teachers out there!

I think I can speak for my son here.
His all time favorite teacher...
Ms. Wood, Graphic Design teacher at PCHS. He took graphic design for 3 years and even decided to stay at PCHS when SPHS opened because of this class. He will be going to KSU this fall, majoring in Graphic Design. I would say she had a BIG impact on my boy.
From a mother's view she was wonderful. Some of you know my son has some medical issues and she would always email me if he was having anything unusual going on.
GOOD JOB MS. WOOD. We'll miss you.

My girls, who are now in their 20's, were very blessed to have Ms. Bowen, Ms. Yoda, and Jackie Cobb. What lifesavers the 3 of them where. Jackie Cobb has passed away and she will be very loved and missed in our hearts forever.
Best principal (Asst. at the time) was Floyd Shelton also very loved and missed. These all taught at McGarity Elementary. EPHS - Ms. Yearwood, a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person!

My mom was a para for both Jackie Cobb and Reba Yoda. She owrked at McGarity when Floyd Shelton was there and also Mrs. Welch. I was just wondering if she ever taught your kids. I don't know if her name was Ms. Sosebee or Ms. Gazaway then since she got remarried.

Mrs. Inhulsen and Mr. Bowman...McEachern High...class of 88

Ms. Nader, Hollydale Elementary

For my son, Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Robinson at Jones Middle. He will have Dr. Davis at Hiram High starting this Fall. Dr. Davis has already made a Wonderful impression on me.

I had Mrs. Nader too at Hollydale! My mother was her best friend. My mom was fortunate to get all of her collectable cat figurines after she passed. She had a love for children and animals.
