Dr. Ronnie Davis

He was our band director at PCHS, years ago, and I never had a teacher who pushed me harder than he did. He didn't ever let us believe that there was anything we couldn't do (on and off the field).

And, Hazel Ratliff, who I had the pleasure of seeing again a few weeks ago. She was my Venture/elementary teacher at Dallas Elementary, and she was such a special part of my little elementary school life.

She, and Dr. Davis, are who I strive to be like when working with my own students. wub.gif

For myself it would be my 4th grade teacher Mr. Elder....

For my youngest- I just loved his Kindergarten Teacher last year- Mrs Dukes- I hated that she wasn't there this year.

For the oldest- this year he had Mrs. Holder- there are no words to describe her as a Teacher. She took this kid of mine- who thought he knew anything and everything, and taught him a thing or two. I LOVED IT! wink.gif wink.gif If I am truly lucky, I will get her for the youngest next year!

Agreed.

But I never had Perry.

Dr Alice Taylor-Colbert. Dr Tom Lagow. Dr. David Perkins. Dr Harold Bryson. Dr Don Aderhold.

My daughter has fell in love with Mrs. George at Hiram Elementary in 2nd and the one in kindergarten, Ms. Bishop, because she hasn't had another teacher (Ms. Bishop rocks though) even without any other teachers. As does Mrs. Sotomayor, her parapro. We loved them all.

Mrs.George is really sweet.

Ms. Bishop rocks! I loved everything she did for the kids this year. Mrs. Soromayor is awesome too. They both need to win some kind of teacher of the world award. They could teach any old dog new tricks. laugh.gif

I lived next door to the Bigham's for 18 years. You would not believe all of their students and former students that would come and go from their home each day. I always wondered how they touched so many people and it was not until I got to high school until I totally understood. They were loved by everyone.

You are absolutely right about Ms. Bishop and Mrs. Sotomayer! My daughter had the privilege of being in their class 9 years ago. Every child should be lucky enough to start their school career with those two wonderful women! I also had the privilege of working with them as a parapro a few years ago. I believe Wanda Bishop could make a rock want to learn!

For me, AJ Mitchell, Sara Ragsdale, George Walker.

Love Mr. Henry, but went to college with him - he was never my Teacher. He was my children's Teacher and they loved him!

Ronnie Davis has always been great! Glenn Bigham was great with my Son, as was Coach Rowe, Ples Davis, all his coaches actually. My Son and Daughter both loved Ms. Kirkland. In elementary school for my kids, Linda Postell/Schuh, Amy Williams, Christie Loftin, there are many many more. smile.gif
