The Moses Titans beat the South Paulding Panthers on Saturday by a score of 27 - 0. The game was a scoreless tie until late in the 1st quarter when the Titan Defense stopped the Panthers sciring threat inside the 10 yard line. From there, the Titan Offense took over and drove the ball 95 yards to take the lead. Instead of going for the traditional 2 point conversion. Coach John Davies pulled a rabbit out of his hat and elected to kick the PAT. The kick was good and Moses lead half way throught the second quarter 7-0. After the game, Coach Davies said that the extra point was the first one any of his teams had ever kicked in 18 years of coaching. From there, the Titans scored again before the half and after a bad snap on the second PAT kick attempt, the Titans were able to convert the 2 point conversion and went in at the half leading 15 - 0.
The win puts the Titans at 2 - 2 over all and 1 -1 in conference play. Next Saturday, the Titans will host Jones Middle School. Game time is 10:00. Come out and support the Titans!!!GO TITANS!!!
