"If somebody is plugged in, attending, and serving at a local church, great – but they may not like Fellowship Church," explained lead pastor, Kenny Ott. "Paulding County doesn't need another church like the ones that are already here, so we're going to do things a little different." Read more at www.godandpeople.com...

Also, does your church already have plans about how it will be different; the ministries you have, the way you worship, ect...
Just curious. I am Youth Pastor / Associate Pastor at St. James Community Church and a lot of what I read on your website is a lot of what we beleive also. We too want to break the mold for a new generation of churches that will be the hands and feet of Jesus.
That being said; keep us in mind if you ever need another church to work with or network with. We beleive in the unity of the Body that crosses denominational lines.

We've been planning for about a year now, and everything we do ties back to our purpose - Loving People, Loving God, and Living Life Together. We have (what I humbly think is a) terrific children's ministry. Their purpose is to teach kids that no matter what, God loves them. Our youth ministry is all about getting into the schools and helping the older kids find their connection to God.

Thanks, TBAR!
Hey, I experienced something really cool yesterday afternoon. Our youth pastor has been doing music for weekly FCA meetings at South Paulding High. I have been with him the last three times. The first time I was there there were about 60 or so kids in the auditorium. Broddie (our youth pastor) sang and there was a devotional. The second time there were closer to 100 kids. Yesterday afternoon there had to be 125 in the room. And at one point the guy who was giving the devotional (I'm horrible with names) gave an invitation to anyone who wanted to give their lives to Christ.
Twenty four (24) kids stood up and walked to the front of the room. This has been kind of a tough week for me - too much going on at work while trying to do my part of putting this church together. To top it off, during the FCA event my wife had my oldest daughter at an urgent care because of an asthma attack.
To be there to see those 24 young men and women give their lives to Christ made it all worth while!
I'm excited about The Bash tomorrow at New Georgia Ball Fields, but I can't wait to see what God's going to do next Sunday!
TBAR, I hope to see you there!

Well, it was. But, the US Department of Tunnels was afraid of a church/state issue during an election year, so we've moved above ground to Dugan.

I would guess not --- Fellowship is a UMC, while West Ridge and its "spinoffs" are based more on Baptist philosophies.

Actually, our pastor did participate in the West Ridge church plant school. West Ridge has been very supportive of us. While are Methodist and West Ridge is Baptist, I think you would find many similarities in our beliefs. After all, Christ didn't call us to be Methodists and Baptists. He called us to serve. I think West Ridge does an excellent job of that.
