I think that any research that shows promise should be continued. This may just be the beginning of something very important. You have to gain access to something before you can modify it. While stereotyping is not ideal, it can pave the way and perhaps even open other thought processes.

Who knew stereotyping could be a positive?
I have learned so much from my son. I have learned what the world sees as weakness I must see the individual value in him and not rely on the world's standards. Funny thing, is that has taught me a lot about my typical children and loving them where they are as well.
Thank you ShangriLa! I think most parents of special needs children are somehow equipped with something special. I know many that are great!
