Barney Laughs!!!

I'll be careful! I have been through firearm training, you know. As a matter of fact, I am a very skilled marksman, even with a handgun!

It takes great skill and careful contemplation and complex calculations to fire and handgun in the wind and still hit the target on the bulls eye! Bulls eye, That's Me!

I think cabla's post has something to do with a computer learning center, but I can't make out if s/he need training or is offering it.
I read recently that "most of today's reporters and journalists are no better than used car salesmen. When they're working, you just know they're lying to you." My first thought is that's an insult to used car salesmen!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't think it would be too good to get a virus on a work computer. The funny text, that you can't read, might get some one to click in the link..

But there are still questions about the zip file.

It vary well could be ok, but it also could have a virus.

Has anyone actually opened it yet?

It does appear to be a corrupt zip file but I scanned the file and it does not appear to contain a virus.

I suspect that the file was a bit larger but transmission was not complete when the connection was broken.

I am removing it, though. I wouldn't, however, believe that cabla would send an infected file but I do appreciate the caution that folks here exhibited. That was good.

That said, Cabla may wish to post me with the details of the file and then I can check it directly and note its value to the community.

enough said. No harm no foul but newbies should probably not offer such items until they are a bit better known in the community.

Well that was fun, but I think HiramGirl still needs a hand. So this is how I do it although there may be better ways.

Find a picture that you want,
Right click on the picture,
Select “Properties” at the bottom of the dropdown menu,
Copy the web address listed,
Open “My Controls” located on Fastread Page to the left/top,
Select “Edit Signature”
Add a signature of your choosing,
Click on “IMG” button,
Paste address over the “http://” that is highlighted.
Click on “Update Signature”

Your done.
Hopefully this dose not break any laws. If it does, and there is a “legal” way to do it, someone let me know.

Edit to add that there are dementions, 100x100 I think and size restrictions 20 Gb I think. That info will be listed on the “Properties” menu.

Close Joe but the 20GB figure would take someone a day or two on DSL to download.

There is a limit of 150 tall or 500 pixels wide for a persons signature image and the image needs to be 20KB or smaller to make sure the pages load quickly.

The other aspect is that those who host images may get upset with you for using their server (and bandwidth) to show your signature pictures.

Most ISP accounts come with free webspace 5-10 MB that can be addressed using the 'http://.... " URL location. It is probably a good idea to move the image there.

This gives you the ability to personalize them as well.

No kidding? Where would I find that?

I knew it was a bandwidth stealing offence but I couldn't figure any other way to do it without placing it on my own web page. And that would expose my true identity. cool.gif

Do you mean the personal web page option with Comcast, aol, or what have you? I will give that a go. That should be more discreet. And legal. Well, more legal. biggrin.gif

I think that is exactly what he is talking about. I have been using our webpage www.soldbyangela.com to store my signature, but I only have 5megs of space there, and with as many listings as we have now, the 200k signature file was taking the place of a client's Dining Room!!

I am definitely going to check into Comcast personal webspace!!!!
