My prayers go out to his family. I am an instructor at an MOS school in 29 Palms CA. One of my Marines went to boot camp with Jason and shared a bunk with him. I was trying to find information so he could send his condolances. Although I never met Jason, I am deeply saddened by his loss. As a father, I cant even imagine how his parents must feel, you are in my prayers and those of my entire church as well. As a Marine, I have been strongly affected by this situation. After reading the posts here I sat at my desk and cried. Such a young man, and I am sure a great Marine as well. I am truly sorry for what has happened. I hope that you some how find a way to deal with this.

If anyone has any information for where we can send flowers or something else please let me know. If the family needs anything at all please let me know. LCpl Donnellan (Jason's bunk mate at boot camp) would like to contact the family. If you have a phone # or e-mail address, it would be greatly appreciated if you could e-mail it to me or send me a private mesage on here.

May God lift you up.

If anyone has funeral details please post them. I would like to take my 2 boys that are still home. I just explained to them it is a sign of respect for those fighting and protecting. My oldest daughter is the same age. It really hits home when you think about it.

Currently it looks like sometime Sat. he will arrive at Dobbins in Marietta. If this happens, I'm not sure how we arrange a standing ovation of people lining the street. The funeral is looking like it will be Tuesday at 11 at a funeral home near Canton (has something to do with the proximity to the burial) which is going to be a military cementary somewhere near Red Top. As soon as I find out all things for sure, I'll post again.

I will tell the family to look on here. I'm not comfortable in giving a stranger personal info for them. You can also follow a lot of stuff on FaceBook also.

Thanks,

Thank you for the help, its very important to me. I understand the whole stranger thing and would rather have his family contact me directly so no info will be passed that they are uncomfortable with.

I never met Jason, but I can assure you I will never forget him. Marines share a special bond, and I feel like I have lost a brother.

Sound like he is being buried at the National Cemetary in Canton. This is located on Hwy. 20 near Knox Bridge landing. I know that Dallas put out the flags on 278 for the last ceremony for a fallen millitary person. I am hoping that they will again. I would really like to know when the procession will be coming through so that I can go and stand and pay my respect for this Marine and his family. May God Bless this family and watch over them in this difficult time. My son just signed up to join the Army and I hope I never have to go through what you and your family are going through.

I haven't had the opportunity to tell her yet. Everytime we talk, we get cut off by another phone call. Its on my list of things to tell her tonight. I have updated the funeral arrangements though on here.

Thanks,

My prayers for the family. I wish we could pay tribute to him here in Paulding County with the flags and processional. We have buried two that I know of and the honor that Paulding County gave was unreal. I wish the best for the family during this time.
